Incognito (インコグニート, Inkogunīto) with his brother Infinity, was a drive user and minor antagonist in the beginning of the Hyperdimension Neptunia; Re:Start series

Appearance[]

Much like his brother Infinity, Incognito sports a similar straitjacket to that of what Infinity wears. He wears the same belts around his coat albeit the only difference being his eye colors being a different shade and his hair being black rather than white. His coat is the same messy black as the rest of his attire, and he wears the same belt straps around his pants too.

Personality[]

Despite being the brother to Infinity, the two are polar opposites. While Infinity is socially less talkative, usually calm and more relaxed, Incognito is more obnoxious, unpleasant, and murders with glee and sadism. Incognito likes to fancy himself as the one who will bring about the world’s demise, believing that because of his relatively advanced powers that he was destined to surpass Infinity in every way. He believes that he has more than Infinity and his powers at his own disposal, and believes others to be just no more powerful than an artificial human like himself. When he discovers this to be far from the case, he is shown to be cowardly, yet still tries to put down others, foolishly claiming them to be nothing more than "human trash.”

More crazed and psychopathic than one could believe, Incognito was nothing short of a twisted sadist. He fully enjoyed wanton slaying and hunting drive users. Despite possessing a crystal and being utterly devoid of any positive emotion, Incognito was fully mentally capable, being clearly able to devise cunning strategies to give him an advantage in combat. He was also well known for doing what he wanted, which eventually lead to his demise.

Powers and abilities[]

Unlike Infinity, Incognito is a very deadly opponent on the battlefield. As one of the deadliest drive users, he was designed for the sole purpose of destroying every other user. He has an advanced version of the force by Infinity. Like him, he has the ability to hover and fly through the air, and can use the disembodied swords to attack and defend himself. He is also able to conjure up an energy barrier by forming the blades into a rhombus-like formation. Incognito possesses spatial related powers, preemptively striking opponents by opening wormholes and stabbing his weapons through to the other side and attack them at a distance.

Incognito’s drive is Deadly Sign (聖傷痕デッドリー・サイン), which involves Incognito displacing floating units across the battlefield. These units come in three types depending on the number of blocks, which open up several offensive options, mostly in attacking the opponent from all angles and even reflecting off of each other in order to disorient the opponent’s focus. These units will fire a beam of energy when initially deployed, but Incognito can fire his own beams into these units to maximize their potency, tracing its trajectory from one unit to the next until it reaches the last unit wherein it immediately tracks the opponent.

Character Report[]

One of many leaders in the new sages, he's in charge of all drive user-related activities. He comes across as uncaring and condescending, never showing his true colors. He is also brilliant and not one to underestimate. Due to unknown circumstances, incognito’s personality appears to have taken a mysterious and possibly sinister turn, seemingly having severed ties to his former allies and manipulating characters such as Ruvia into becoming his willing pawn and seemingly discarding her when she was of no further use. In the present day, Incognito comes off as cold and uncaring, mainly keeping to himself around others and preferring to keep his emotions out of conversation, giving him an eerie, sinister presence.
